This review is from: Kingston HyperX 3K 240 GB SATA III 2.5-Inch 6.0 Gb/s Solid State Drive SH103S3/240G (Personal Computers)
The "value" means cheaper RAM that won't last as long. The standard is 5k so what you are buying will have 3/5 the normal life of a normal SSD
"According to Kingston and technical reviews the Kingston HyperX 3K is a "value ssd". The 3K refers to the number of program/erase cycles the NAND is rated for. That is less than the typical 5,000 program/erase cycles we usually see."
