The coupon:
50% off Any One Item In-store Printable Borders Coupon [Exp. 05/07] is not valid. I got the coupon off a different website that look more official than the one on this page, and I was told at two different Borders that it was a scanned copy and they don't accept them. Supposedly they were handed out at closing Borders as a "glossy" or cut out of a newspaper. The one on this website is obviously scanned. I took the "official" looking one to the 1st Borders and they said not in so many words that I was a liar. The actual statement was: "you didn't get this off the internet." So I asked instead at the 2nd Borders if it was any good, and they explained it to me.
It would be appreciated if the coupons from now on came straight from Borders. It is not a smart idea to scan coupons and expect to pass it off as official. People react stupidly to these things and don't use common sense as to why others like myself would bother scanning something so obvious. What would be the point trying to get over on them? They can tell its a scanned coupon. They don't think that on the internet people pull stupid stunts as faking a coupon and posting it, just to cause a person problems.
Please post real coupons from now on.

Do not order from Borders. Their website says you will receive the books within 3-8 business days, but when you call them after 8 business days they tell you it's 12 business days. After 12 business days they will tell you to give them another 4 business days after which they will be able to process a lost item request and reimburse your money. I received my book after 3 weeks (14 business days). Bad, bad, bad experience. You may save a few bucks with their coupons but is it worth waiting for 2-3 weeks? By the way, did I mention that I spent 43 minutes waiting on the phone for customer service.

I just ordered $300 worth of books at Borders and entered coupon code BR41295 which was supposed to take $5.00 off every book in my cart. This brought my order to $160.00. Unfortunately Borders cancelled the entire order and when I called customer service they said the coupon was not valid and they have refused to honor it. They will only take $5.00 off one book.

Hi AndrewR, how did you find out about this deal? You work there or something? Did you get lots of books for free? Did other people had free books too?

There is an error with the $5 off one item borders coupon and it is taking $5 off EVERY item in the shopping cart. I guess you are too late and Borders has already fixed this coupon error. Other people who ordered with this Borders coupon earlier did get their books shipped from Borders. It was a great deal and you've missed it :-)

Here ya go Potter fans....
Borders lists their copy of the book for $20.99. If you take 30% off of that... the book will be around $14.70 (plus tax).
Heck, that's cheaper than Wally-world!
Enjoy your Friday.
