Be wary of any HP laptop if you intend to use the webcam without direct sunlight as your lighting source. A simple web search should validate this for you. I've had a lot of hardware quirks with my laptop, brand new, so you also might be better off buying a refurbished product, where at least it has gone through some sort of HP quality control.
