      I bought on of these and it lasted a year and a half before a part on the shredding disc broke and melted parts of the blender. I bought another one because besides that the thing worked great. The second one I bought broke for the same reason a month after I bought it. I tried to get a replacement part for the blender since it was under warranty, but that has been ongoing for 3 months now.

      Overall the food processor seems to be very good, BUT after just a few slices the plastic square at the center of the shredder slicer disk broke in half so the disk could not be used. When I went to hamiltonbeach.com to order a replacement, they were out of stock, (only this one part was out of stock, not any other replacement parts) which leads me to believe that so many of these failed that they ran out. When I phoned them they said it would be at least a month before the replacement parts are in. Save yourself the trouble and pick a different model.
