I picked up a "Backpacker" magazine in my dentist's office several years ago that provided details on the highest point in each of the 50 states. I added this to my "bucket" list. I began my subscription the next month and have been a continuous subscriber since. I have added gift subscriptions for my son and two of my daughters and that has led to family hikes--Grand Canyon Rim-To-Rim, AT, Rocky Mountain NP, and numerous local hikes.
