Connect your existing hard drive2 to the home or office network and create additional storage space with the DSM-G600 Wireless Network Storage Enclosure. With the DSM-G600, you can conveniently share documents, files, and digital media such as music, video, and photos with everyone on your home or office network.

The DSM-G600 can be used with an internal 3.5” ATA/ IDE hard drive, giving you the flexibility of choosing the storage capacity required for your network. The DSM-G600 features two additional high-speed USB ports so that you can expand your storage capabilities by adding more external USB hard drives.

In addition, the DSM-G600 also functions as an Access Point. Create an 802.11g wireless network when you attach the DSM-G600 to your wired router. This network can be secured using WPA encryption. With support for Windows® Connect Now, you can simplify wireless configuration.

Conveniently store, retrieve, and share digital content with everyone on your home or office network by adding your own hard drive to the DSM-G600. As a central storage location for data, the DSM-G600 is an organized solution for the network. The DSM-G600 also includes an embedded FTP server3, so you can access the contents of the drive from anywhere in the world.

Since the DSM-G600 is visible and readily available to everyone on the network, you can use it to share files or collaborate on projects. For more sensitive data, you can create users and assign permissions for specific folders. The DSM-G600 can also perform scheduled backups and automatic downloads from a website or an FTP server.

The DSM-G600 includes advanced drive management features for getting the most out of your network storage setup. With email alerts, notification can be sent whenever the drive nears capacity or if there is an error with the drive. The DSM-G600 can also run a scan of the drive to help maintain drive reliability.
