I was going used the 20% 'in-store only coupon'. The store said the item was not in stock. I called the on-line customer service line. Peter was extremely helpful in getting my order processed, as the item was in stock at the warehouse, applying the 20% discount (his manager Justin approved allowing the in store coupon over the phone to expedite the order) and also providing free shipping to my home. What a great process!
No dick's, actually exceptional service.

Went to Dicks in Indianapolis yesterday and used the $10 off $25 or more "Coach's" coupon with no problem at all! :) I printed it off the computer and cut it out and the cashier took it without question. She didn't even need a manager to come by and approve it or anything! YAY!

The reason these coupons are illegal is because they have been scanned from the coach's packets (hence the 'Coach's Certificate' at the top) and put online by other sources. They are NOT from the Dick's website. Coaches have to sign up to get these coupon packs in store and distribute them to their team, and it's easy to tell if the coupon if from the book by looking at the size and material it's printed on. We are not just being 'dicks'. The purpose of the original Coach's Certificate is to support local teams. If you want coupons that just anyone can use, take the 30 seconds to sign up for our Scorecard program. We do send more than just the $10 reward certificates that way. And you will get more coupons (such as the recent $20 off 100 or $40 off $200) in the mail or email. If you aren't receiving anything from your Scorecard, ask your cashier to double check your address and information.

Dicks are dicks. I am enrolled in Dicks scorecard program, but it is rather useless. I have spent quite a bit of money there in the past few years & the coupons I have received through the program are very minimal (in my opinion) for what I have spent. I have nothing against the employees, but would not recommend this store to others,. Would avoid at all costs.... Stores are very well organized but you can find better bargains elsewhere. Go there to try stuff on & then search on-line. Their shipping deals last X-Mas were also rather pathetic. Advertised free shipping but had numerous exclusions. My advise to Dicks employees....look for work elsewhere, because they cannot stay in business with these practices????

It's the truth.. Dick's will NOT honor these coupons. I work there, I'm a cashier, I'm not a Dick. I have rules to follow. Corporate sent out and email just yesterday saying DO NOT accept these coupons. The only coupons we honor are the ones from our Scorecard. If you want coupons, why wouldn't you sign up???
I love coupons as much as the next person, but chill out. Don't get mad at the cashier! You saving $10 isn't worth our job! Call corporate.. I promise, they won't tell you to go ahead and go back in and use the coupon.

I tried to use the Dicks Sporting Goods coupon when I made a purchase today, Dec 12, 2009. When I tried to use the on line coupon, the clerk told me the coupon was no good. She said because I printed it from the Dicks web site, that was illegal copying and was not allowed. Good luck using Dicks web site coupons, they're worthless. What a Christmas spirit!
Shaffer, I used the coupon $15 off $75 at Dick's and had no problem using it. I used it in October at Dick's in Pittsburgh (North Hills)

went to dicks tonight to buy 90.00 worth of bowling items....presented the coupon to them and was told it was worthless. when I told them I had printed it off line, I was told by mgmt that it is a company other than dicks that puts this coupon out there and they WILL NOT HONOR IT...HELP...Does anyone know if there is any truth to that or were they just being "Dicks"???
