The 30 for 30 project from ESPN Films debuted on the network in October of 2009 and ran through the year, celebrating the cable sports' giant's 30th anniversary. This first of two volumes collects 15 of the films in the documentary series, many of them produced and/or directed by some of today�s finest storytellers. Each filmmaker brings unique passion and a personal point of view to their film detailing the issues, trends, athletes, teams, rivalries, games, and events that transformed the sports landscape from 1979 to 2009. Crossing the barriers of sports, the films reflect on the impact these events had across the pop culture spectrum. Filmmakers featured in this collection include: Barry Levinson (The Band that Wouildn't Die); Peter Berg (Kings Ransom); Steve James (No Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson); Mike Tollin (Small Potatoes: Who Killed the USFL?); Ice Cube (Straight Outta L.
