LightScribe lets you etch labels (grayscale text and graphics) onto discs using the drive itself: after burning content, just flip the disc over to burn the label (requires LightScribe media, sold separately).

HP QuickPlay lets you play music CDs and movie DVDs within seconds after power turn-on, without booting the operating system. Stereo earbud headphones are also included.
