      terrible product, March 16, 2012

By Terry L. Wigfield "twigfield" (hagerstown MD)(REAL NAME)

This review is from: Kodak PlayTouch Video Camera (Black) (Camera)

I needed a video camera to record home inspections for my business. I needed something easy to use. Kodak promotes this as easy to use. The controls are terrible. Everytime I try to record something the slightest movement around touch screens causes all kinds of different menus to come up. Can't get out of. I spend more time trying to get out of inadvertent menus. After recording and trying to put on computer the videos become still pictures with audio. I installed the software that came with camera. It messed my computer up so that I could not import pictures into my inspection reports. Had to un install software which then made all my video on camera go completely black.. Kodak doesn't support software. Kodak tells me to download quicktime. Which I did. Getting videos to play still wasn't easy. So I tried to do the share. That required putting my email in. The onscreen keyboard seems to have different sensitivity in middle of screen as compared to edge. Anytime I touch a character in center of screen I got two or more. When I tried to touch backarrow to get rid of nothing happened unless you touch extremely hard with fingernail. Before I got my email in the screen broke. I spent several hours with support. I now have over 12 hrs of my time, three months and I never got a video off this camera. This is a poorly thought-out and designed camera. I would not buy again reguardless of price.
