The reason it is so cheap is because it is a discontinued item since it is last years model. However I would still buy it as the newer models are not BACKLIT LED while this is.
The online deal is dead, but I went in to HHGREG and showed them this ad and said that even though the online deal on their site is dead they should honor it. They did (it was their last piece - phew). Even better, if you sign up for their newsletter online, you get $50 off any TV over $399, I did that and gave them the coupon. I ended up paying 749.99 for this TV (+Tax came to $802.49). This was a steal.
