Office Depot has done this before, not honoring sales because of "glitches":

I too placed the order y'day, received the confirmation e-mail but was told by the store & customer service that they will not honor the sale as it was a glitch in their system that allowed the order to go through !!! I was offered to take the chair at 99$ if I am interested.
I agree with comments in this forum that a sale is a sale and needs to be honored. Also sets bad precedent for any merchant to take unsuspecting customers for a ride with similar tactics by blaming system errors.
I called their 800 number to find out why my order was canceled and was told the coupon was a mistake. It should have been for a $20 discount instead of $90. I told them that other stores usually honor their mistakes. She said that they can only offer an apology for the inconvenience but will not honor the coupon. Is there any lawyers among us that can offer a legal opinion about their obligation on this?
Got a call this morning from the local Office Depot. Was informed that they would not be honoring the sale due to a computer error...too many coupons. Was told that if I go to the store for the pickup they would not give me the chair.
I have an email confirming the transaction. Do not about the rest of you but I believe a sale is a sale and it should be honored. Just like if a merchant advertises a price and it turns out to be incorrect, they still have to honor it. I have filed a complaint with my state's BBB and Attorney General.
A purchase was made...I have an order number and a email confirmation of the transaction. I feel they need to honor the sale.
They have honored sale for some customers and declined for most. Pls see office deport site in the reviews for this product where someon in Florida did get the chair for $8.51

I also placed the order online and chose instore pickup. They wouldn't give me the chair when I went to pick it up because I didn't have the coupon in hand, even though my order was already placed with the code.
Was anyone actually able to get their chair?
I actually placed the order on line, paid, and chose to pick up at my local store at the very first time I saw this deal, the manager there said I am required to present a physical coupon when picking up or my order would be never verified. And I told him what if I chose the home shipping, he told me I could try tho. The funny part was that when I tried to replace my order on line and then I found the item on the webpace showed "discontinued" and I called 1800 to office depot they told me my order was deleted. What the hell is that?
Looked really interesting. Online store says "THIS ITEM HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED" when I add it to cart. 7-17
if it says sold out, clear cookies and try pickup at another store.
