Sony HTSS360 5.1-Channel Home Theater System

The Sony HTS-S360 has built-in decoding for high-resolution digital audio, so you can enjoy outstanding surround sound from select Sony Blu-ray players. It works by letting your player decode the high-def audio formats on the disc, like Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio. The player then sends that decoded information to the HTS-S360's receiver via an HDMI connection -- up to eight channels of uncompressed "PCM" audio. What you'll hear is intense, high-impact sound that matches the detailed picture displayed on your HDTV. This no-hassle system provides a perfect visual complement to Sony's latest Blu-ray disc players. It includes five compact speakers and a subwoofer for room-filling sound. The slim receiver has enough HDMI inputs to accommodate three high-def video components, and delivers up to 1080p video resolution to your HDTV via an HDMI output.

5.1-Channel AV Receiver
The Sony STR-KS360 multi-channel receiver is equipped with an S-Master Digital Amplifier for superb accuracy, clear separation of signals, and balanced sound reproduction using a digital-to-digital process. It is designed to be highly efficient, producing minimal heat, while taking up 1/4 of the space of conventional amplifiers. The amplifier is rated at 143 watts x 5 (Front left/right, Surround left/right and Center) at 1kHz in 3-ohms with 10% THD; plus 285 watts x 1 (subwoofer) at 80Hz in 1.5-ohms with 10% THD.

Center Channel Speaker
The Sony HT-SS360 5.1 Channel Home Theater System features an acoustic suspension center-channel speaker which consists of one magnetically shielded 1-3/16" x 2-3/8" cone-type, full-range driver. The center-channel speaker comes with four self-adhesive rubber feet so it can be placed securely on top of your TV, shelf or stand. The center-channel speaker also features two key-hole slots on its rear-panel which allows you to mount the center-channel speaker horizontally on a wall. In addition, the center-channel speaker comes with a 10' length of speaker wire which connects to the spring-clip terminals on back of the speaker and the proprietary plugs on back of the AV receiver. The center-channel speaker is magnetically shielded.

Front and Surround Speakers
The Sony 5.1 Channel Home Theater System features four matching front (left/right) and rear (left/right) speakers. Each speaker consists of a bass-reflex cabinet and features a single 2-5/8" cone-type, full-range driver. Each speaker comes with four self-adhesive rubber feet so they can be placed securely on top of your shelves or stands. Each speaker also features a single key-hole slot and 5mm threaded insert slot on its rear-panel to allow you to mount the speakers vertically on a wall (key-hole slot requires optional mounting screw and the 5mm threaded insert requires optional bracket). In addition, each speaker comes with speaker wire (14' for front, 40.5' for rear) which connects to the spring-clip terminals on back of the speaker and the proprietary plugs on back of the AV receiver. The Front and Rear speaker are not magnetically shielded.

Passive Subwoofer
The Sony HT-SS360 Home Theater System features a bass-reflex, passive subwoofer with a front-firing 6-3/8", 1.5-ohm woofer and front-firing port. The subwoofer includes four self-adhesive rubber feet to place the unit securely on your floor. The subwoofer features an attached 11.75' speaker wire terminated by a proprietary plug which connects to the system's AV receiver.
