The milled base on the heatsink guarantees a great surface contact area, greatly increasing the efficiency of the unit. The baffles around the fan direct the outgoing airflow onto the fins. And since keeping the memory chips cool is as important as it is for the GPU there are 8 aluminum heat sinks for them.
