This is the only racing toy that combines the throttle-happy thrill of a slot car set with the steady lumbering of a train set. The track's single intersection dares racers to beat the train to avoid high-velocity impacts--perfect timing leaves a competitor stranded at the crossing until the train passes. Raced using their hand-trigger controllers, the detailed slot cars tear around the track's seven curves--including one 180º hairpin turn--while the train rolls on its 47" x 38" oval track automatically. The train includes a locomotive with a working headlight, two freight cars, and a caboose; the train can be moved forward and reverse with the included transformer/controller.
